Start with the bank format
Each Malaysian bank labels dates, references, debits, credits, and balances in its own way. Maybank separates transaction and value dates. CIMB uses DR and CR markers. Public Bank labels money out as Withdrawal and money in as Deposit.
Use the bank page that matches your PDF first. The parser reads the layout before it builds the spreadsheet, so the export keeps the columns your accountant expects.
Export columns for bookkeeping
A clean Excel export should include date, description, debit, credit, balance, reference, source bank, and account period. Those fields let you reconcile bank movements against invoices, receipts, and accounting software imports.
SEA Bank OCR also keeps the original description text. You can audit a row back to the PDF when LHDN, a lender, or a partner asks for proof.
- Excel for review and cleanup
- CSV for Xero, QuickBooks, SQL Accounting and AutoCount imports
- JSON for internal systems and batch workflows

Use these pages when you need bank-specific instructions, PDF download notes, and statement layout details.
